Qaim announces reward for terror informants

SHIKARPUR: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Saturday said that several issues exist in law and order facing the province, ARY News reported.

“Law enforcement agencies have been directed to provide and ensure complete security to all worship places including mosques, Imambargahs.”

Talking to media here in Shikarpur, he said terrorists could be present anywhere, hence strict vigilance was needed in this connection. He announced that any information leading to arrest of hardened terrorists will be acknowledged with reward of Rs 20 million to informants.

Shah informed that now onwards, SPs and DSPs will dispatch report on law and order on weekly basis.

The CM told that monitoring of madressahs (religious seminaries) will also be conducted.  Regarding blast in Shikarpur Imambargah, Qaim said a committee will be constituted after consultation with inspector general Sindh.

We will try to ensure complete security in the province despite limited resources, said the CM.

He told that apex committee of Sindh has also proposed 14 points for improvement of law and order in Sindh. He was of the view some people favoured 21st Constitutional amendment while some did not like it.
