Qaim says killer of JUI-F leader captured

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said the killer of JUI-F leader Dr. Khalid Soomro had been arrested, ARY News reported.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam’s general secretary Sindh Dr. Khalid Soomro was shot dead in Sukkur on November 29  when he was leaving a mosque attached to a madrassah after offering Fajr (early morning) prayers.

Taking to media after a meeting with Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad here, the CM said police lacked some facilities in executing its operations. “We have sought Rs 10 billion from the federal government, however the amount is yet to be received,” he told.

He informed that legislation for formation of university in the name of MQM chief Altaf Hussain in Karachi and Hyderabad was afoot.

To a question, he said the allegations of Imran Khan will be probed by the court.

Governor, speaking on the occasion, said law and order situation needed to be resolved on political and administrative basis.
