Qaim welcomes PM at airport with ‘list of grievances’

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah conveyed a number of grievances to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while welcoming him at Karachi airport today on his arrival, ARY News reported.

The schedule issued by the Prime Minister Office for his visit to Karachi doesn’t mention any meeting with the CM Sindh, thus prompting the CM to convey his concerns at the airport.

Officially PM is not scheduled to hold an interaction with the CM, except at the airport.

After the CM apprised the prime minister of his reservations, Mr. Sharif invited Qaim Ali Shah to Islamabad to hold detailed deliberations on the issue of extension in Rangers policing powers and other issues.

PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari has said his party would not approach the Supreme Court over Rangers issue. He made this decision after consulting his legal adviser and senior PPP leader Farooq. H. Naek.
