Qazi Khalilullah named new spokesman of foreign office

ISLAMABAD: Qazi Khalilullah has been appointed as new Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, replacing incumbent Tasnim Aslam.

An announcement of the ministry of foreign affairs  said.

Additional Secretary Qazi Khalilullah who was looking after the Middle East Desk at the ministry will replace Tasnim Aslam who was serving as the foreign office spokesperson since December 2013.

Qazi Khalilullah did his Masters in International Public Policy from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University, USA.

He joined the foreign services of Pakistan in October 1985 and served at various positions in Pakistan’s diplomatic missions abroad.

He also served as Pakistan’s ambassador in Yangon, Myanmar from 2008 to 2012 and in Cuba from May 2012 to 2014.
