Qureshi denounces Khawaja Asif’s diatribe

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has denounced what he called Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s un-parliamentary attitude in the parliament on Monday, ARY News reports.

Talking to newsmen outside the Parliament House here on Tuesday, PTI Vice Chairman said that the minister should have some sense about the importance of the parliament session.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Khawaja Asif used unparliamentary language in his speech in the parliament.

Asif, a PML-N stalwart, during the parliament session yesterday used harsh words against the PTI lawmakers who returned to the assembly after a hiatus of seven months.

PTI leader said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had invited them to return to the parliament to play their parliamentary role.

Chairman PTI Imran Khan, unhappy over the minister’s scathing comments, decided not to attend the joint sitting of the parliament today.

Other parliamentarians of the party, however, attended the parliament debate over Yemen today.
