Rabbani tearful over 21st Amendment vote

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senator, Raza Rabbani burst into tears while expressing views in the Senate of Pakistan on the 21st Amendment of the constitution, ARY News reported.

In his address with the upper house, the PPP senator said that in the last twelve years he has never felt as embarrassed as he felt today.

“Today I voted against my conscience in favor of the formation of military courts”, said a bent and broken Rabbani.

He added that this vote was owed to him by people.

The PPP senator after addressing the upper house departed from there immediately.

Moreover, the 21st Amendment was passed on Tuesday with not a single vote against it.
