Rafique rues shortage of petrol

LAHORE: Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that the petroleum shortage should not have taken place as the crisis hit the entire country, ARY News reported.

The minister, however, added that the government was taking all possible measures to overcome the shortage of petroleum products.

Speaking at the inauguration of work on a link road project in Lahore, Rafique said that Pakistan Railways had enough oil reserves for 14 days, which will be increased up to 30 days with passage of time. He said that all possible measures were being taken for decreasing the losses and increasing the income of Pakistan Railways.

About the link road project, Rafique said that this Rs 100 million project will link area from Seven-up Railway Crossing to the Ferozepur Road in Lahore. He said that this project will be completed within three months.
