We’ve seen him make the impossible possible and do the unthinkable on-screen. Though Rajinikanth has fought off villains by the hundreds and dodged bullets with precision and accuracy, he can’t seem to rescue his wife from real life troubles!
An FIR has been registered against Latha Rajinikanth for allegedly handing over fake documents to the court in order to obtain, what is being called as a ‘gag order’ on the media. According to Indian media sources, a complaint had been filed against the actor’s wife for forging the letterhead of Welfare Association of India and the Press Club.
The additional commissioner of law and order (West), Bangalore, said, “A case has been filed against Latha Rajinikanth by a complainant who says that he has been cheated. This is to do with some post production work, where a sum of around Rs 14 crore had to be given to the person. A case of cheating and forgery has been filed.”
A similar accusation has also been leveled against Rajinikanth’s wife last year when an ad agency accused her and producer J Murali Manohar for cheating them after agreeing to give them the Tamil Nadu distribution rights of their film ‘Kochadaiyaan’.
