Rangers accuse MQM of “trying to restore terror in Karachi”

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, has accused the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement for resorting to covert tactics to shut down TV channels to “reinforce its terror”.

According to Rangers spokesperson, the paramilitary force will foil all such moves by the party to spread terror in  the city.

The statement said:  “Pakistan Rangers Sindh is receiving information that the militant wing of MQM is threatening local cable operators in different parts of the city to shut down TV channels.”

Rangers said these militants are trying to restore fear in the city which will not be allowed to happen.

They urged citizens to report any such activity on its Helpline 1101.
