Rangers announce details of arrested hitmen of MQM, outlawed groups

The paramilitary agency has said in a report that dozens of suspects including a number of target killers belonged to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the outlawed groups were arrested in raids in various parts of the city.

Four of the suspects were allegedly involved in the killing of several policemen and personnel of Pakistan Navy, said the paramilitary force spokesperson.

The held suspects belonged to the MQM, the banned Sipah-i-Muhammad Pakistan (SMP) and Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), said a spokesman of Rangers.

Four arrested hitmen including Zaheer alias Piyala, Babar Chingari, Haroon Kala and Amir Nuqta were involved in killings of policemen and personnel of other law enforcement agencies.

Targeted raid in Natha Khan Goth

Rangers in an intelligence-driven targeted raid in Natha Khan Goth of Karachi closed all exit and entry points of the locality and conducted house to house search.

The law enforcement personnel detained 20 suspects and captured arms and drugs from their possession.

In separate raids in Kunwari Colony, Katti Pahari and adjoining areas, law enforcement agencies detained a number of suspects and captured illegal weapons.
