According to details, Rangers arrested five criminals in targeted raids in Abbas Town, Liaqatabad and Qasba Colony.
Large quantity of weapons were also recovered from their possession.
Spokesman of Pakistan Rangers Sindh said among arrested criminals one was a militant of a banned outfit while another was a target killer.
Earlier, Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police, Ghulam Haider Jamali, talking to media men in Karachi, said that elimination of terrorism from the province is top priority of Sindh police.
He stressed the need for new legislation to achieve desired results of the National Action Plan.
Ghulam Haider Jamali informed that recruitment of 10,000 police men is being made on merit to strengthen the police force.
