Rangers arrest group of extortionists for taking money from Liaquatabad goat market

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Sunday arrested a group of four extortionists who were taking extortion money from a goat market in Liaquatabad area, ARY News reported.

The arrested persons, Muhammed Gibran, Fahad, Muhammed Tasleem and Muhammed Akber, are accused of forcibly taking money from traders of the goat market established beside Liaquatabad flyover.

The raid to arrest the culprits was conducted on the complaint made by citizens. Weapons, looted money and extortion receipts were recovered from their possession.

Rangers have handed over the accused to police for legal action. Further investigation into the case is underway.

Name of the informant will be kept confidential.
