Rangers nab three suspects of Tahir Plaza attack

KARACHI: Rangers on Monday arrested three suspects allegedly involved in setting an office in Tahir Plaza on fire that claimed six lives back in 2008, ARY News reported.

The paramilitary personnel nabbed three suspects who are identified as Muhammad Ali aka Darinda, while two others are former UC Nazim Lines Area Naeem and Shams.

Advocate Altaf Abbasi along with his clients was burnt to death at his Tahir Plaza office near the city courts when the building, which mostly housed lawyers’ offices, was set ablaze following a spat between two groups of lawyers at the city courts on April 9, 2008.

The suspects had thrown chemical substance in Tahir Plaza on April 9, 2008 to set it on fire.
