Rangers grill Gabol over Lyari gang war, say sources

KARACHI: Rangers on Thursday grilled former member of the National Assembly (NA) Nabeel Gabol pertaining to Lyari gang war, according to sources.

Sources said that Rangers officials grilled Gabol for six hours. He was questioned about Uzair Baloch, Ghaffar Zikri and other notorious Lyari gang lords.

Nabeel Gabol has long been affiliated with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and elected as Member of the National Assembly (MNA) on PPP ticket from Lyari.

He, however, parted ways with PPP in March 2013 after being sidelined for some time.

Gabol was once again elected as an MNA on Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) ticket from NA-246, Karachi.

In February 2015, he once again resigned from the assembly and MQM over differences with party members.
