Police and Rangers launched a search operation in Afshani Gali and Kalakot areas of Lyari which was resulted in an encounter with the criminals, sources said.
The gun battle between the criminals and the law enforcement agencies continued for some time in which a Rangers man sustained injuries, sources added.
