KARACHI: A Rangers officer allegedly shot dead his fellow paramilitary over a personal dispute on Sunday morning, ARY News reported.
The incident occurred in Gulistan-e-Jauhar within the remits of Sharah-e-Faisal Police Station. The deceased personnel was identified as Mashooq Ali. He suffered three bullets shot in the chest and died on the way to hospital.
Police have arrested the Rangers official, Murtaza Ali, who shot dead his colleague. Details of the dispute could not be ascertained as yet, but a murder case was registered against the accused.
A spokesman for Jinnah Hospital said that the Rangers official was pronounced death at 6.17 AM on arrival at the hospital, and was handed over to heirs after the formal procedures.
