Rangers nab MNA’s son among two, recover arms

HYDERABAD: Rangers on Thursday apprehended Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lawmaker Kamal Khan Chang’s son Asad Chang along with a wanted criminal Asghar Malah in Hyderabad and recovered arms and liquor from them, ARY News reported.

Rangers personnel, during snap checking in Hyderabad, recovered three Kalashnikovs, a handgun and eight liquor bottles from the vehicle of Asad Chang. A wanted criminal identified as Asghar Malah was also accompanied Chang.

Paramilitary personnel handed over both Chang and Malah to Hussainabad police station.

On the other hand, Asad Chang stated before police that the arms recovered from his vehicle were licensed to him and his father MNA Kamal Chang, while Malah had asked him for lift on the way.

He added that the liquor bottles belonged to Malah.

Police are investigating the matter and the suspects are currently held under custody.
