Rangers raid three offices of Zardari’s close aide in Karachi

KARACHI: The paramilitary force on Friday noon raided a tech company’s offices in Karachi reportedly owned by close aide of former president Asif Ali Zardari, who is returning to Pakistan after self-imposed exile of 18 months today.

The Rangers personnel raided three offices of the same company located along I.I. Chundrigar Road, Hockey Stadium and Metropole.

Omni Group, whose offices have been raided, is owned by Anwar Majeed, who is said to be a close aide of Asif Ali Zardari.

According to reports, admin manager Omni Group Kashif has been arrested from Hockey Stadium.

Sources said some other arrests had also been made during the raid.

The raiding team also seized several files and records from the offices.
