Rangers request PTA to ban Altaf’s address: sources

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Tuesday contacted the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for imposing a ban on the address of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, ARY News reported.

According to sources, Rangers in written requested the PTA to bound cellular and landline service providers as well as the internet service providers (ISPs) not to broadcast the speeches of Altaf Hussain.

The measure was taken for ‘seeking assistance from Indian covert agency Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) and for using offensive language against the armed forces of Pakistan’.
