KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh has on Wednesday warned people to consider before handing donations or charities as it may be inadvertently be used to finance terrorism.

However, the Rangers spokesman  urged people to immediately inform them on their helpline if anyone forcibly collects donations from them. He said that strict action will be taken against them.

The spokesman appealed to citizens to make sure that their donations and charities are not given unintentionally to organisations which may be used to finance terrorism.

The paramilitary hailed the ongoing operation against terrorists, and said that the militant wings of political and religious organisations have been dismantled.

This has caused a visible reduction in incidents of target killing, extortion and terrorism across the city, and also in the forced collection of animal hides and skins, zakat, ushr and other donations.
