Ranveer Singh is often in the news for one controversy or the other. The Bollywood actor was recently asked to come to court along with Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar, to record their statements over the AIB roast controversy.
Ranveer Singh and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali were booked for assault, due to the allegations of a man. According to the report filed, on October 16 in Pune, a man was assaulted by bouncers when he protested against the shooting of the film Bajirao Mastani.
Wajid Khan, the complainant, alleged that he was headed for Rajwada in Bhor when he was stopped by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who said to him “Tumhara naam kya hai kaale coat wale? Tumhara jo bhi kam hai wo baad mein.”
According to the man, he was assaulted by bouncers when he had protested and stated the concern that the shooting was being carried out without the permission of the concerned authorities. Wajid also alleged that Ranveer Singh appeared out of nowhere and said “Inko yahaan se baahar nikaalo”. Following this, the man was manhandled and subsequently kicked out.
So far, the team of Bajirao Mastani has kept mum over the issue and not responded to the allegations as of yet. Ranveer Singh stars in Bajirao Mastani with Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.
