KARACHI: The Sindh government on Saturday ruled out the notion that SSP Malir Rao Anwar was suspended on orders of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, ARY News reported.

Spokesman chief minister Sindh said the decision of suspending Rao Anwar was not driven by PM’s order but personally made by CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah.

“Some politicians are spreading misconception. Nawaz Sharif’s phone call was received after Rao Anwar was already suspended,” he said.

The spokesperson said neither the Sindh government will forgive any criminal nor it will do injustice.

Earlier, today Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan expressed concern over the brazen political interference from the prime minister himself in police matters in Sindh.

He said such political interference was the reason why the police in Sindh and Punjab were unable to do their job and maintain effective law and order situation.
