Speaking at a news conference, the minister said the case pertaining to funds given by foreign countries was being heard by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and was delayed through different tactics, but now the PTI counsel has taken it to the high court through deceit.

He said the court has not issued any stay in the case so the ECP should continue its hearing without taking any pressure into account.

Demanding the ECP to again sought answers and evidences from Tehreek-e-Insaf, Rasheed charged Imran Khan of obtaining funds from overseas Pakistanis in the name of “Hukumat Hatao, Mulk Bachao” (topple the government to save the country) campaign, adding, “funds were even accepted from the forces bent on destabilizing Pakistan”.

He said the PTI chief lied to and deceived people abroad and demanded Khan to return the money to the people for failing to oust the government and to apologize the nation.

The minister said Imran Khan confessed to have brought money home through hundi, questioning what other evidences does the ECP require and why is it providing a chance for Khan to get away.
