Rashid greeted with ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans at Lahore airport

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rashid on Sunday said elections would only be conducted in five years once the government completes its terms, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media outside Lahore airport, the minister said Imran Khan tried to mislead nation in the name of ‘umpire’.

“The people have given government mandate for five years.”

He alleged that Imran incited people on violence in his speeches. The minister was of the view that several demands of the PTI were accepted even before the start of talks.

“Imran called off talks on behest of Sheikh Rasheed.” He claimed that the government demonstrated patience at every stage of talks.

Amid his talk, an awkward situation developed when a group of people gathered around the minister and chanted ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans. He, however, stared at him for some seconds and cut short his media interaction.
