Rauf Siddiqui, Anis Qaimkhani released from Karachi Central Jail

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader Rauf Siddiqui and Pak Sarzameen Party leader Anis Qaimkhani were released from Karachi Central Jail on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

Qaimkhani, Siddiqui along with MQM’s Waseem Akhtar, PPP’s Abdul Qadir Patel and Dr Asim Hussain are facing a case related to facilitating terrorists’ and providing them medical treatment.

As Rauf Siddiqui reached what is termed as MQM Pakistan’s temporary headquarters in Peer Ilahi Bakhsh (PIB) Colony, he was welcomed by party chief Farooq Sattar and a number of other leaders.

Siddiqui said he thanks God for giving him the courage to go through all the hardships in prison and staying his ground.

Qaimkhani, who is the president of PSP, was received by party leaders Mustafa Kamal and Raza Haroon outside the Central Jail.

Talking to media outside the prison, Qaimkhani thanked ‘all Pakistanis’ and expressed hope that he will be dealt justly in future.

Kamal announced that the PSP president will shortly reach the party headquarters Pakistan House in Defence and address workers.
