Reference against Khan: ECP summons PTI chief on September 28
The Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday formally accepted a reference for hearing filed by an applicant Shah Nawaz for hearing in the new few days.
The reference sought Mr Khan’s disqualification for allegedly hiding his assets declared with the commission and forwarding false information in his election nomination papers.

Following a notice sent by the Election Commission, the PTI chief would now report to the commission on 28th.
Meanwhile, a new reference – by Bilal Mustafa – has been filed against PTI leader Jahangir Tareen after which he too has also been summoned by the Election Commission to appear on September 28.
Recently, there has been a sharp rise in the number of references that both PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz file against the opposite party’s heads and key leaders.
On Monday, speaker Ayaz Sadiq yesterday rejected a reference against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif filed by Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Shaikh Rasheed, requesting his qualification over the Panamagate Sandal.
On the other hand, the speaker approved a disqualification reference filed against the PTI chief.
