The anti-encroachment team during its operation in North Karachi found that the encroachers have either raised walls around or have settled women and children on grabbed public plots.
The team found that a huge area captured by land mafia has wedding halls, medical stores and residential buildings constructed over it making the work difficult for the team.
The operation saw women coming out of their homes and complaining about fraudulent sale of property by encroachers through fake documents,
Officers carrying out the operation claimed that the sale of grabbed plots was done with the help of some Karachi Development Authority (K.D.A) staff.
