The VHP leader also suggested that the ‘King Khan’, who turned 50 on Monday, ‘should move in there’.

“By talking about returning the awards (including Padma Shri) he has committed treason. He should be punished for this. Not only Shah Rukh Khan, but all those who have returned their awards should be tried for treason,” said Sadhvi Prachi.

Prachi, who is known for her controversial remarks, had kicked up another controversy earlier this year by calling for a boycott of films starring Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan and asking right-wing Hindu outfits to tear posters of their films and make a bonfire of them.

She made the call for the boycott of the Khans while suggesting that their films are spreading a culture of violence and advising youngsters not to idolise them.

Prachi had then also accused Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa of proselytising in the name of religious services.
