Rio Olympics: Two Pakistani athletes crash out on first day

RIO DE JANEIRO: Two Pakistani athletes faced elimination in their respective events on the first day of the 2016 Rio Olympics, ARY News reported on Sunday.

According to details, female shooter Minhal Sohail took part in Women’s 10m air rifle competition and came at 28th position after securing 413.2 points.

Minhal Sohail, a resident of Karachi, is Pakistan’s first ever female to participate in shooting event in Olympics.


Meanwhile, Pakistani swimmer Haris Bandey failed to progress in the Men’s 400m freestyle Heat 1.

He secured 3rd place out of total three competitors in the event. He completed the heat in 4:33.3 minutes.
