According to an official, police tried to stop two dacoits from looting people at Mauripur area on which dacoits opened fire at the law enforcers. One of the robbers was killed by the retaliatory fire from the police whereas his accomplice managed to escape.
Arms were recovered from the killed robber.
On the other hand, unknown persons stormed into a sweetmeat shop and opened fire due to which 40 year old Zakir and his 25 year old son Osama were wounded. They were shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
