Route of CPEC not being changed, says Iqbal

Speaking at a presser here with Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri, Ahsan Iqbal said that the project is being politicized despite all the reservations of the political parties were addressed.

The minister said that Balochistan is the CPEC’s gateway and the project will most beneficial for the province. He added that the province is Pakistan’s future.

“Even Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants Balochistan to be free from poverty”, Iqbal said.

He also that the 30-years of Martial Law became a hurdle in the country’s path to development. He added that the situation would have been different if military was not ruling the country.

The planning and development minister stated that the federal government also took steps to imporve the education sector of Balochistan. He also said that the universities of the south-western province are no less than any international univerity.

“The future of the Balochi youth is bright”, the minister added.

CM Balochistan Zehri said that the province is rich with natural resources.

“We invite China to invest in Balochistan. We will provide them security and protection”, Zehri said.
