Imran, Qadri stay far in Jeddah

JEDDAH/KARACHI: An expected meeting between the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief, Dr Tahirul Qadri could not take place despite the fact that both the personalities were there in Madina on Thursday, ARY News reported.

According to details, Imran Khan is currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia for offering Umrah, his wife also accompanied him to Madina today for performing religious rites, following which the PTI chairman and his newly-wed wife left for Jeddah.

 

 

On the other hand, Dr Tahirul Qadri was also there in the holy city of Muslims; however no meeting could take place between both the party heads.

Earlier, some media reports had suggested a meeting between Khan and Dr Qadri in Madina, which were duly rejected by PTI.

PTI spokesperson, Dr Shireen Mazari while denying such reports, had said that her party chief flew to Saudi Arabia with sole purpose of performing Umrah and that there would not take place any meeting between him and Dr Qadri.
