Sadiq says PM’s resignation on Panama leaks ‘out of question’

LAHORE: Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Thursday said that the Panama Papers did not name Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and so his resignation is ‘out of question’, ARY News reported.

In his interaction with media here, Sadiq assured that those involved in offshore companies trade will be held accountable. He said that a few people want everything to be done according to their choice, but this is not possible.

“Government cannot formulate such terms of reference (TORs) that could please everyone,” he said, in an apparent address to Imran Khan. “The apex court has full authority in this regard.”

The speaker further said that the government has given free hand to political parties for holding rallies and mass meetings, and that there is no apprehension of a clash anywhere.
