Hafiz Saeed says Mullah Omar has passed away — leads funeral prayers in absentia

KARACHI: In recent turn of affairs relating Mullah Omar’s death, Jamat ud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has offered funeral prayers in absentia of the Taliban supremo, ARY News reported.

Hafiz Saeed in his tweet presented an image showing him leading funeral prayers of Mullah Omar.

“Funeral prayers in absentia being offered of the Amir of hundreds of thousands of Mujahideen,” read the tweet on his official handle.

In a time, when there are miscellaneous reports about Mullah Omar demise, the offering of his funeral prayers in absentia by the JuD chief seems like a confirmation.
