Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor are two individuals who have been A-list actors for quite some time. The Bollywood actors have not been known to share a good rapport with each other, mainly owing to the fact that Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s ex-wife Kareena Kapoor were in a relationship previously.
Saif Ali Khan decided to shed some light on the issue recently in an interview, when he made it clear that him and the Udta Punjab actor did not harbour any animosity towards each other.
“Why should there be any enmity between me and Shahid? There is so much going on, people trying to sell anything… As far as I am concerned, we really don’t have any issues,” said the Phantom actor.
Saif Ali Khan also said that Shahid had always met him in a friendly manner and there was no reason for him to do otherwise. He further stated that there were no grudges between both actors, no matter how people wanted it to be.
“He has always been very decent. And why wouldn’t he be? And so am I. There is nothing bad between us no matter how much people want,” Saif said.
Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor will also share screen space with each other in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next film. Saif Ali Khan also said that this fact alone was testament to the idea that both of them had put their issues behind them.
“If we have any issue, we (Shahid and I) would have not signed a film together,” he said.
Saif Ali Khan’s recent movie Phantom had caused controversy for its depiction of anti-Pakistan acts. There were also reports in the media that Saif’s daughter Sara and Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan would make their Bollywood debut opposite each other.
