In the Indian film industry, there’s always lots of competition, which can hamper friendships and ruin relationships. Take for instance, the two reigning Khans of Bollywood, Shah Rukh and Salman, who were known to be public enemies, until just recently.

Saif Ali Khan is another Khan in Bollywood who has cemented his place in the Indian film industry over the years. Recently, the Phantom actor opened up about some issues him and Salman Khan had, in an interview.

“We have done films and shows together. Over time, there have been some differences that have come up, which him and I best know about and that will always remain between him and me only,” said the suave actor, when he was asked about his relationship with Salman.

“He is someone I have worked with, spent a lot of time with and he is someone I greatly admire as a brother. And that will never change,” he further added.

Saif Ali Khan also went on to shower praise at Salman and also stated how the latter was India’s biggest star when he himself was opting for a career in the Indian film industry.

“He is someone I have known for a very long time and was the No.1 star when I had thought of joining movies. He is someone I just respect and look up to. I will always look up to him for many reasons. Public reasons, private reasons.”

Saif also went on to say that he has known Salman Khan longer than he has known his wife and hoped that nothing would change between them, based on Kareena.

“I have known him longer than I have known Kareena. So I would hope that our equation is not dependent on her,” he said.  Saif also revealed how glad he felt when Salman had spoken to him and invited him to a screening of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
