James Bond might be an espionage that refuses to back down and would scale buildings, kill nefarious elements for the British government in the twinkling of an eye, however it seems that even he is wary of competition from Salman Khan! Indian fans longing to see the latest James Bond flick Spectre will have to wait just a tad bit more. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Spectre’s release in India has been delayed in order to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated that the movie was to be released on November 6. However, its release has been postponed by two weeks and now, Spectre will be released in India on November 20th. Whereas Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will release on November 12th and is expected to rake in big bucks, following his immense success from Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Salman Khan’s presence as an actor has grown over the years, owing to his smash-hit releases such as Dabangg, Dabangg 2 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. His last film Bajrangi Bhaijaan became India’s second highest grossing film of all time and garnered praise from even across the border.

Spectre is directed by Sam Mendes and has been released in the United Kingdom. This will be Daniel Craig’s fourth time as James Bond in a movie and overall, it will be the 24th James Bond movie. As of now, fans from around the world have given their nod to the latest Bond flick and the movie has earned rave reviews.

So it seems that Salman Khan has made even Hollywood change its mind and postpone a James Bond release date in India. Goes to show how celebrated and influential a figure Salman Khan is in India.
