Back on track: Samjhota Express leaves for India with 107 passengers

LAHORE: The Samjhota Express, which remained suspended for two days due to violence in Indian state of Haryana, resumed scheduled operations from today, ARY News reported.

Officials said that a couple of days the train was suspended upon request of Indian government in view of ongoing clashes in Haryana.

Indian authorities had said that they could not ensure safety of Pakistani passengers in face of violent protests.

At this, Pakistan Railways decided to suspend the train until situation improves across the border.
