Sanam Baloch to portray Marium Mukhtiar in short film

ISLAMABAD: Sanam Baloch, hosting The Morning Show at ARY News, will portray Marium Mukhtiar, Pakistan’s first fighter pilot who was killed in the line of duty, in a film to pay tribute to her .

According to reports, the film will be directed by Sarmad Khoosat and written by Umera Ahmed.

PAF pilot Marium Mukhtiar was killed on 24th November 2015 when her fighter jet crashed at Kandian area of Bhakra near Mianwali. She was honored with the prestigious Tamgha-e-Basalat by the Government of Pakistan on 23rd March 2016.

The celebrity said, “When I came to know it’s about Marium Mukhtar and I had to portray her, I decided I have to do it no matter what, although I was in talks with someone else as well for July”.

She also stated that she was feeling nervous as it will be her appearance in film and television for quite some time.

“This time I’m extra nervous since it’s going to be my appearance after so long. This particular short film is going to be very challenging for me. I’ll have to live the life of someone extraordinary,” she stated.
