Sanath Jayasuriya to be a part of PSL

KARACHI: Former Sri Lankan batsman Sanath Jayasuriya has agreed to be a part of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL), ARY News reports.

According to details, Sanath Jayasuriya will be one of the members of the coaching of PSL, which starts in February 2016.

The announcement was made on PSL’s official Twitter page.

Sanath Jayasuriya will be amongst several international coaches to have signed for Pakistan’s Twenty20 league.

Mickey Arthur, Abdul Rehman, Graham Ford, Eric Simons, Stuart Law, Robin Singh, Otis Gibson, Ray Jennings, Chaminda Vaas, Gordon Greenidge, Darren Berry, Shane Jurgensen, Andy Moles, Chris Adams and Mohammad Akram will be coaching different frachises in the tournament according to PSL’s official website.

The former opening batsman has scored 629 runs in 31 Twenty20 matches with an average of 23.29.

He proved handy as a left arm spinner and has taken 19 wickets in the 20-over format of the game.
