Bollywood’s star Sanjay Dutt who came out of jail for 14 days furlough left for jail on 8th January to surrender on expiry of his furlough but the star returned home again as he was given an extension.
The 55-year-old actor who is facing incarceration of five year term for possessing illegal firearm has been in news for taking furloughs from jail. He has so far taken 3 furloughs in a year of his imprisonment and he has been highly criticized for getting privileges. Sanjay Dutt had to surrender to Pune jail on 8th January on the expiry of his furlough, when the actor reached there he came to know that he had got an extension on his furlough which he requested for.
On 27th December the actor who came out to celebrate New Year on 14 days leave of absence asked the authorities for an extension of furlough. Till the last day of his leave he was not informed that his extension had been granted.
‘Vastav’ star was released on 24th December on a 14-day leave of furlough by the Yerawada Central Jail authorities as he requested to celebrate New Year with his family.
