Sarwar confesses massive corruption in govt institutions

LAHORE: Governor Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Monday admitted the fact that corruption has devastated all the institutions, ARY News reported.

Addressing a ceremony here, Chaudhry Sarwar lamented that fake water filtration plants were installed after receiving donations, while plants installed at the Governor House and Data Darbar were also not genuine.

He said that talks between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) were initiated due to his efforts; however these negotiations could not succeed in ending differences.

Sarwar appealed both the sides to demonstrate peaceful attitude on November 30.

The Governor Punjab also bashed the bureaucracy saying that the government officers have turned their offices into ‘grocery stores’.

“As long as accountability does not begin, corruption would not let the country advance”, said Sarwar.
