Sattar regrets 'delayed unity' against terrorism

ISLAMABAD: Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar has said the barbaric Peshawar incident could have averted had rulers taken MQM’s stand on Talibanization seriously, ARY News reported.

Addressing a National Assembly session to approve constitutional amendment bill, Sattar said the entire nation should now unite against the scourge of terrorism.

It took national leadership 10 years to realize that Pakistan is fighting war against extremism and terrorism, he said in his speech.

The MQM leader referred to the speech of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and said it would better had the minister rebuked atrocities of Taliban by name.
