Schools, colleges in Peshawar to remain closed on APS martyrs’ anniversary

PESHAWAR: Educational institutes including schools, colleges and universities will remain closed on December 16 Friday on the second anniversary of the Army Public School (APS) tragedy, ARY News reported.

“On the Second anniversary of Army Public School (APS) incident and the prevailing sensitivity of the security situation, all the Schools, Colleges and Universities (government & private) in district Peshawar shall remain closed on Friday, 16th December, 2016″ says a statement released by Deputy Commissioner Peshawar.

Around 144 people mostly children lost their lives when gunmen stormed the APS in  Peshawar on 16 Decemeber 2014. This was one of the worst terrorist incidents in the country.
