SECP revokes licenses of MKRF,100 other NGOs

ISLAMABAD: The Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has revoked the licenses of hundreds of non-government organizations (NGOs) including Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman Foundation (MKRF).

According to SECP sources, the licenses of NGOs were cancelled for not complying with the corporate laws.

Beside Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman Foundation, SECP has suspended licenses of some prominent NGOs that include Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Foundation, Karachi Golf Club and Karachi Race Club.

Among commercial organizations licenses of Pak-Japan Business Forum, Pak-Poland Business Forum, Bilawal Foundation and Habib Foundation has been suspended.
