According to Frontier Corps (FC), numerous door-to-door search operations and raids were carried out at Quetta’s Kharotabad and neighbouring areas in which 13 suspects were rounded up.
Twenty-four pistols, two rifles and a shotgun were seized from the arrested persons, FC said.
The arrested persons were taken to an undisclosed place for investigation.
It should be noted that the security forces have stepped up crackdown against terrorists and criminal elements in Balochistan following the deadly bomb attack at Quetta’s Civil Hospital which claimed the lives of 74 people, mostly lawyers, on 8th August.
The explosion in Quetta came as up to 200 people gathered at the Civil Hospital after the fatal shooting of a senior local lawyer.
Home Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti had also cautioned four days ago in a press conference that Indian intelligence agency, RAW, and Afghanistan intelligence agency, NDS, were involved in suspicious activities to destabilise Pakistan.
