Security guard resisting robbery dies in Sargodha

SARGODHA: A security guard who was shot by dacoits during a robbery attempt at a shoe shop a day before Eid has died after two days in critical condition between life and death, ARY News reported. 

Four dacoits entered the shoe shop located on University Road where they faced tough resistance from the security guard on duty. As a result, they opened fire indiscriminately severely wounding him and robbed large amount of cash from the shop.

The security guard identified as Nafees Kazmi died earlier today leaving behind a widow and three young daughters who are heartbroken after the death of their father. His family has appealed to the government to take notice of the incident, and provide monetary assistance as he was the sole bread winner of the bereaved family. Police are unable to find any trace of the dacoits.

A few days ago another security guard was killed during a robbery at a bank located in the busy Kutchery bazaar, while police have also failed to make any progress in this case as well.
