MQM concerned over 'death squad' of plain-clothed personnel

ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Awami National Party Wednesday staged a walkout from the Senate. MQM members alleged that plain-clothed personnel are still apprehending people in Karachi, ARY News reported.

On the occasion, MQM senator, Babar Ghouri lamented that banned outfits openly hold demonstration in Karachi, yet there is no one to keep a check on such organizations.

He said that the prime minister had promised that plain-clothed personnel will no longer arrest anyone, yet still these personnel are apprehending the people and acting as ‘death squads’.

In her exclusive word with ARY News, MQM senator Nasreen Jalil demanded the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif to seek an explanation from the IG Sindh over these arrests.
