He was speaking exclusively in ARY News talk show ‘Live with Dr. Shahid Masood’ hosted by Arshad Sharif, where he said that he was compelled by the MQM to leave Karachi and shift to Islamabad.

He said that his infant grandson was shot dead near Boat Basin on 11th June 1995, while his daughter and son-in-law also received bullet wounds.

The subsequent investigation revealed that MQM worker Naushad who was also an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) in police had fired on them and his confessional statement was also available.

He claimed that Naushad had received orders from Nine-Zero while at mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam to go to Clifton and fire at a government-licensed car at Boat Basin as his son-in-law was a Customs employee.

Baig said that he was familiar with every street of the city but was forced to leave the city by the MQM. He urged the British government to take stringent action against the MQM chief or expel him from their country.
