Seven more criminals executed across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Seven convicted criminals awaiting execution were hanged to death on Tuesday (today) morning in different cities of Pakistan, ARY News reported.

According to details, three convicted criminals Muhammad Talha, Khaleel Ahmed and Shahid Hanif were hanged to death in Sukkur central jail. All three belonged to a banned outfit and were involved in killing of Defence Ministry director and his driver.

All three were asking for mercy while their relatives cried and shed tears over the execution.

Karachi central jail saw a convict Behram Khan being executed for killing a Sindh High Court lawyer in 2003.

It is the first execution in Karachi since 2008.

The fifth one being hanged today was Zulfiqar Ahmad in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail. He was hanged 6:00 AM in the morning.
Zulfiqar was involved in attack on US Consulate in Karachi.

Meanwhile in Faisalabad District Jail, two convicts of Musharraf attack namely Naik Nawazish Ali and Mushtaq Ahmad were hanged to death.

All seven were hanged amidst strict security arrangements.
